Accountability

It is so easy to let ourselves "off the hook" when it comes to being responsible for our actions and following through with the commitments or goals we have set. The following are phrases that illustrate excuses for not completing, or even beginning a task:

  • "I didn't know…"
  • "I forgot…"
  • "I didn't have time…"
  • "I got tired…"
  • "I didn't hear that…"
  • "I can't…"
  • "I'll try…"
  • "I'm sorry…"
  • "Whatever you think…"
  • "It's too hard…"
  • "That's too far…"
  • "I'm too old, fat, young, thin, short, dumb, smart, etc.…"
