President and Medical Director

Dr. Candace McDaniel is a licensed Osteopathic Physician in both Oklahoma and Texas. She received her medical degree from Oklahoma State University in 1996. She also holds a Doctorate degree in Education from the University of Tulsa, a Masters degree in Psychology from Texas Christian University, a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Southern Methodist University, a Bachelors degree in Biology from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma and an Associate of Science degree in Chemistry from Tulsa County College. In 1970 she graduated from Highland Park High School, in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. McDaniel began her own Addiction Medicine and Family Practice Clinic in 2003, the Anti-Aging and Longevity Center of Texas, P.A. The practice is a state and federally accredited comprehensive substance abuse treatment center. Dr. McDaniel served as medical director and program physician for the Denton Brentwood addiction clinic and also served as back-up physician for two Brentwood clinics in Fort Worth, Texas from 2000 through 2002. Dr. McDaniel trained as an addiction medicine program physician under J. Thomas Payte, M.D., in his Dallas clinics and as a back-up physician for his San Antonio clinics from 1998 through 2003. Dr. Candace has four grown children: a surgeon, a chemist, a social worker, and a bookseller. She is married to Dr. Reg McDaniel. They live on a five acre farm with horses, dogs, cats, goats, and birds.

Clinic Director

Rick has been working in the field of addiction treatment for over 30 years. He has worked with various forms of treatment, from inpatient detox to wilderness therapy. Rick began his work at the clinic in 2003 and has been the clinic director for the past three years. In addition to his responsibilities at the clinic, he stays busy as a public speaker, trainer, drug offender program instructor, and acu-detox specialist.

Rick is married and has 5 children and 5 grandchildren. For leisure he enjoys camping/backpacking, golf, photography, woodworking, and music.

Counselor

Veronica attended Eastfield Community College where she Associates degrees in Social Work and in Substance Abuse. Her training has come from working with the Dallas County Juvenile Department Substance Abuse Unit, the YMCA Casa Shelter, and at two medication assisted treatment programs, before coming to us at the Anti-Aging and Longevity Center. In all Veronica has 10 years of experience in the addictions field. Being bi-lingual is an enormous benefit in helping our Hispanic clients.

She enjoys reading, and caring for her family. For leisure Veronica enjoys museums, zoos, exhibits, and many other civic events. She is involved with both PTA and church activities.
